Why We Play

Ohr Feigy is a group of Jewish women united in memory of Feigy Heisler, a mother who has passed away at 33, leaving behind her husband and three young children. Last year, we came together for our inaugural basketball tournament to honor her memory and support her family.
This year, we're channeling that same collective power to support Chai Lifeline Midwest, an organization that has spent more than 25 years providing critical support to children and families in our community facing medical crises.
From case management and crisis intervention to i-Shine afterschool programming and summers at Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline brings hope and healing when families need it most.
On Sunday, May 3, eight teams from across the country will take the court for this mission. Whether you're a seasoned player or just love the game, this is your chance to compete with purpose, connect with an incredible community of women, and turn every basket into hope for a family facing the unimaginable.
