I’m playing in the Play It Forward Women’s Basketball Tournament this year to raise money in honor of my friend, Feigy Heisler, who passed away from cancer last year. All the money we raise will go to Chai Lifeline, a nonprofit that supports families facing serious illness, trauma or loss.
Feigy was our teammate here in Phoenix. She was the first one to respond in our group chat when we asked who was up for a Saturday night game and she was the only one on our team who could make a half-court shot with ease.
Every time we step onto our home court, we think of her. We think about the way she lived, with warmth, grit and joy. She would seize opportunities without hesitation and encourage others to do the same.
The Ohr Feigy tournament brings women together from across the country for a meaningful purpose. We’re uniting to honor Feigy’s legacy while competing at a high level. With your support, we can elevate women’s basketball and make a real difference for families who need it most.
